In case you missed it yesterday, check out the City Paper's post about Valor Development's plans for the empty lots across from the Kennedy Recreation Center at Seventh, P and Marion Streets!
I really hope that DC sees its way to releasing its portion of that block so that the larger vision of the project can be built.
I also hope it doesn't look like the rendering. It would be nice if they could at least incorporate some of the architectural elements of the surrounding neighborhood to offset a purely contemporary design. It's an en vogue style of building now, but I just don't think the aesthetic will withstand the test of time.
