The Human Rights Campaign (“HRC”) hosts its 11th Annual National Dinner at the convention center this Saturday night (October 6, 2007). The National Dinner is HRC’s largest gala dinner, and this year’s event is sold out (find out how to put your name on a waiting list for tickets here). Each year, the National Dinner’s 3,000 attendees gather from across the nation to celebrate the continuing successes of the GLBT community and HRC, America’s largest civil rights organization dedicated to achieving GLBT equality.
The dinner will likely be just the first neighborhood destination for event attendees on Saturday. I imagine attendees will be crowding neighborhood nightspots such as The Space, be bar, the lounge at Vegetate, and Nellie's Sports Bar after the conclusion of the event in the convention center. I hope it's a fun, safe, uplifting, and Shaw-centric night for all.

Sounds like a great event, and a great boost for the neighborhood as well...! :]
