Read Off Seventh's
post informing us about the status of Shiloh's response and deadline to respond to the recent condemnations of four of its vacant properties, DCRA's anticipated delay in taking action should Shiloh fail to meet the deadline, and private meetings between Shiloh and DCRA.

As Off Seventh suggested,I'd encourage everyone to let Mayor Fenty and others know how unhappy we are with this...enough is enough.
I've already written Jack E's office and gotten a response from Michele...
Agreed, Anon (and Off Seventh). We need to be clear to our public officials that we're watching them closely in their handling of this matter.
well what did jack's office say about the apparent double standards? that's what's most annoying to me about all this:
there's the Get Heavy standard on regular folks and
Go Light standard on serial abusers like Shiloh
As with all things, actions speak louder than words. In this case, words are completely worthless.
And you think the Fenty government will behave any differently toward Shiloh than the Barry, Pratt-Kelly, and Williams crowd? I'm telling you folks, Shiloh has infiltrated the city government. Just as my neighbor, Skeeter, got his rear passenger side small back door window knocked out every time he complained about the church, the city will heap on those who go after Shiloh with lack of public services, fines, development. Their Jesus is a vindictive, nasty guy who plays the race card every chance he can.
Keep the heat on. Hope that local neighborhood associations can all petition together and create a no-confidence vote against Shiloh.
