May MCDC Shaw Streets Column

If you haven't yet grabbed a copy of this month's MCDC, check out a PDF online version of my monthly Shaw column here. In it, I write about the Marion Street Garden, the newly opened Tenth Street Park, and the tulips in bloom on Ninth Street.

You can pick up copies of MidCity DC at businesses throughout the neighborhood.  I usually grab mine from Azi's cafe.

July MidCity DC Shaw Streets Column

If you haven't yet grabbed a copy of this month's MidCity DC, check out a PDF online version of my monthly Shaw column here.  In it, I write about the first gay couple to book their wedding at Long View Gallery, the new art around the convention center and the development projects set to break ground this year.

Eighth and Q Renovations

In case you missed it, my most recent Shaw-centric column for MidCity DC (formerly DC North) is about the energetic couple that bought 1543 Eighth Street, Northwest (formerly a long-vacant property owned by Shiloh Baptist Church) and their awesome plans for the same.   Pick up a copy of the May MidCity DC or check out a PDF of my article here!

Renovations are underway at three corners of the intersection of Eighth and Q Streets.  This long-forlorn corner is about to be so vibrant!
