Christmas Trees and Holiday Cheer From Old City Green

Yesterday, we bought our Christmas Tree at Old City Green. They had tons of trees in an assortment of varieties and sizes. We decided to get an eight foot Frasier fir. Long View Gallery acquired their stunning ten foot (!!) tree from Old City Green this weekend also -- it's definitely worth checking out. Old City Green also sells paperwhites, wreaths and garland, so it's a one-stop-shop for your holiday trimmings.

In addition to greenery, Old City Green offers up holiday cheer: they've usually got a crackling fire and cookies, cider, and marshmallows for patrons (Frank encourages you to bring your own graham crackers and chocolate for s'mores!).

Old City Green is open seven days a week through Christmas Eve. Their holiday hours are Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Picked up a huge wreath on Sat. from Old City Green that is really great. They were even nice enough to help us out with the obligatory bow. Since moving to Shaw, we've been wanting to put just such a wreath on the outside of the house during the holidays and hadn't gotten to it until this year.

Our wreath is probably 4 1/2 - 5 feet in diameter and wasn't even the biggest one they had for sale!

Glad these guys are in the neighborhood and hope they sell a ton of trees/wreaths this year.

whoa! I noticed that they have some pretty huge wreaths and thought about buying one too -- we'll live vicariously through you!

Thanks for this post. Will swing by tonight to grab our Christmas tree. I was worried they'd be closed before I got off work.
