Via Express, Corduroy has opened its doors in Shaw. I can't wait to give this notable newly relocated restaurant a try!
UPDATE - I thought it was too good to be true given that it still looked like a construction site as recently as last Sunday. Express now clarifies that "Corduroy has not yet reopened. The greeting on the restaurant's voice mail system says it will reopen 'in early April.'"

I ran by there today as I had heard the rumor as well, but it certainly isn't true. Looks like it is still weeks away, at a minimum. Photo here.
yeee-ahhhh. Probably more like opening in June by the looks of it.
From the outside it looks like they're still working on the basics like minor exterior stuff, drywalling and wiring. They've still got to do the rest of the interiors too - floors, trim, molding, wainscoting, fixtures, build out the bathrooms, kitchen and bar I'm guessing. Then of course set everything up, load everything in, get everyone trained and do a few dry runs.
That'll take some time.
Ran into Tom, owner/chef at Corduroy, at Cork last Thursday, he says it will be middle to end of April before they open.
