I walked by Vegetate last night--lamenting that I haven't had a chance to make it there in a while--and was pleased to see that the place looked packed. I can't tell you how thrilled I am by the success of this unique and awesome restaurant in our neighborhood. Vegetate's chef was featured this past Tuesday on NBC4's "Going Green" segment (view the video here), garnering them even more deserved accolades.
As summer is fading quickly to fall, Vegetate's menu is changing to reflect the season's offerings. Vegetate is also making a few changes to its format. Here are a few highlights:
Sunday Chef's Dinner
Starting this Fall, every Sunday from 4:30-9pm is Vegetate's Sunday Chef's Dinner (in lieu of their Sunday Brunch). The Chef's dinner will highlight the best of what Vegetate's Chef, Caesare Assad, finds at the Sunday markets, as well as specials dishes she'll create only for that day. And since great food goes best with great wine, wines by the glass will be half-price.
Vegetate is introducing a lounge menu. The lounge menu has special items that aren't on their dinner menu, as well as some favorites from their regular menu. Make a meal out of it or have a unique snack with their seasonal cocktails and beers. Their lounge menu is available at the bar or in the lounge.
Dinner Tuesday through Saturday beginning at 6pm
Sunday Chef's Dinner 4:30pm to 9pm (last seating at 8:45pm)
New Fall Specials
Happy Hour every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8pm, a selection of cocktails, beer and wine all priced at $5.
