The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has received an unsolicited proposal for a joint development project for three non-contiguous parcels along Florida Avenue between 7th Street and 9th Street. WMATA must advertise such proposals to developers interested in submitting a proposal of their own. Read the full request for proposals here (note: .pdf file), and DCMUD's discussion of the same here.
This is very exciting news for our neighborhood; hopefully this is the precursor to some fantastic, mixed-use, high density redevelopment along the Florida Avenue corridor.

Cool news. Hey ShawRez, are you on the email list for Naylor Court? They have some interesting news about the previous WSD development at 9th and M - now it's being developed by another company. They've got a lot of info...
Thanks, Anon--just posted about it. As long as it's well-executed, this is very exciting news!
