Modern Liquors announced its May tasting schedule today. Attendance at these sampling events could make for a neat post-work indulgence/grab-a-bottle-of-something-new-for-dinner-en-route-home routine, so mark your calendars:
Wednesday, May 2nd (6-8pm)--Chilean wines by Miguel Torres.
Friday, May 4th (5:30-5:30pm)--MaDonna, a traditional Belgian style white beer from Romania.
Cinco de Mayo (4-5pm)!!! Jose Cuervo flavored tequila.
Wednesday, May 9th (6-8pm)--wines from Argentina, Greece and Spain.
Friday, May 11th (5:30-7:30pm) --Voyant Chai, another delicious liqueur we discovered at the DC Wine Festival.
Wednesday, May 16th (6-8pm)--Virginia wines.
Friday, May 18th (5:30-7:30pm)--Pisco.
Wednesday, May 23rd (6-8pm)--highly rated Australian wines.
Thursday, May 24th (6-8pm)--Bambu White Rum. [Tentative]
Wednesday, May 30th --South African wines.
Modern Liquors is located across from the Convention Center at 9th & M. Via mass transit, it’s located at the Mt. Vernon/Convention Center stop on Metro's Green/Yellow line; and 9th Street/Convention Center stop on the Circulator.
