On January 31, 2007, buyers closed on the building at 1312 9th Street. The sale price matched the asking price of $1,275,000.
Coldwell Banker described the building as a "Gorgeous Victorian with approx 3000 sq ft, 4-car parking and only 1 blk to Metro. Recently renovated with central a/c & heat, kitchen & 2 full baths, large, light and bright bedrooms. Can be restored further or converted into several condominiums just blocks to Metro, bars, restaurants and galleries."
Indeed, this building is in a prime location and is amidst a stretch of 9th Street that is experiencing a great revival. There is still much unmet potential along these blocks (e.g., the building across the alley from 1312 is one of my favorites in Shaw and appears unoccupied). I am eager to find out what the buyer(s)' plans are for 1312 9th and I welcome them to our great neighborhood!

This property is the one that houses the amazing design firm Design Army. I hope the sell of the building doesn't force/inspire them to leave the neighborhood!!
