Bread for the City offers several ways to make someone else's season a little brighter. Notably, Bread for the City is presently accepting donations for its Holiday Helpings program, which aims to provide low income families with holiday meals to enjoy together. Non-perishable food donations are accepted through December 24th at both of Bread for the City's locations, including its Shaw location at 1525 Seventh Street. They also accept cash donations for the Holiday Helpings program.
Bread for the City has its own wish list for carrying out its wonderful programs. Consider donating any of the following items:
toiletries including deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and shampoo

A DVD player (less than two years old)

Two TTY phones
To grant any of these wishes, contact Valentine Woods at 202.386.7611.
