Upon perusing craiglist, I came upon this ad offering for lease a townhouse in Shaw. Having been a renter in D.C. prior to buying a place, I have a generally good idea about what you can get for your money in the capital, and this is a steal for $2,700. The pictures of this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with black bamboo floors, a $100k chef kitchen with professional built in appliances, exposed brick, fireplaces, a roofdeck, a small deck, a parking spot and bi-weekly maid service are beautiful (check them out at the ad).
Maybe I should get a pied à terre in eastern Shaw...

thats TC! a nice block & decent price but the ad is confusing...something about a wall being knocked out of the bedroom or the bathroom??! hmmm. I am very intrigued by black bamboo floors. sleek AND environmentally friendly? Will keep that in mind for a future project! Ok the price is great considering they will clean for you too :)
