The new Watha T. Daniel-Shaw Library, located at 7th Street and Rhode Island Avenue Northwest, opens this summer. The new library will feature a large photo mural depicting 300 faces of the Shaw community. If you would like your face to be included in the mural, come to the Watha T. Daniel/Shaw Interim Library on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. A photographer will be there taking pictures for this once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of our new neighborhood library!
You will need to sign a photo release form to participate, and minors must get the signature of their parent or guardian. For more info, contact Martha.Saccocio@dc.gov.
