Old City Green Selling Christmas Trees!

Old City Green is an exciting new gardening business at 9th and N brought to us by Frank Asher (formerly of Fairies' Crossing). Old City Green's mission is "To invite nature back into the city by supporting local landscapers with market value product and by providing the Shaw community (and the city at large) with plants, garden supplies, training and opportunities to increase awareness of and appreciation for 'our urban garden'"

Old City Green is now selling Christmas trees (they have 750 in stock, so there's a lot from which to choose!). If you use the secret password "fairy dust" when purchasing your tree, you will receive "a free, magical door charm." We plan to buy our tree there shortly and are happy to support this great new neighborhood resource!

There was an announcement about this tree sale in Immaculate Conception's bulletin this morning - so the word is getting out.

I just bought my tree there on Saturday evening. Very helpful & very well priced. I can't wait for spring!

They also have wreaths, which we're excited about.

Old City Green donated a beautiful tree for the French Street Neighborhood Association's 16th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Pot Luck. Many many thanks to Frank Asher for his very generous community spirit!
