The Washington Business Journal reports that the National Music Center and Museum Foundation has decided to close. I regret that I never took advantage of the music center's programs or offerings. Did anyone else?
The Business Journal article references the potential for the Carnegie Library to become Washington's central library. I think that would be great.

What a sad, sad turn of events. First the city cancels the plans to build the site because they decided to go head first into the new convention center. We all know how that project has turned out. Then they try and salvage some aspects of the project by sticking the NMC into the Carnegie. The programs were poorly run and never really promoted properly. Did anyone know about the summer dance classes for kids? What about the DJ camp? Just another example of poor execution by this city. I'm not surprised though.
