Earlier this year, I reported about an update that our ANC received regarding the apartment building under renovation in the 900 block of L Street, NW. From this layman-passer-by's perspective, it appears that the project is nearing completion (I think they're doing mostly finish work at this point). As you may recall, this building is being renovated into about 52 market rate for-lease apartments, some of which will have fantastic monument views. Located across from the upcoming convention center headquarters hotel and next to two upcoming smaller Marriott-branded hotels, this is yet another project that will add vibrancy and life to the convention center area and will further up the area's demand for more retail, restaurants and services.

locals recognize this building as The Eldon. but maybe the new chamber of commerce will give a better waspy branding. rr446
Alright! Bringing more people and residences north of Mass Ave. in that area is just what the revitalization of 9th street needs.
