Tonight

I can't wait to attend, or at least to hear reports from neighbors on, two exciting events taking place tonight (Thursday, April 24, 2008).

First, as reported last week, there is an art opening at Vegetate tonight from 5-6:30pm. This is Vegetate's third art opening and will feature paintings by local artist Judith Peck and photographs by Washington, DC artist Ken Ashton. Vegetate's regular dinner service will start at 6:30. All are invited for this exciting first look at Judith and Ken’s evocative and thought-provoking artwork.

Second, the Blagden Alley Association will hold its April meeting in the still-under-construction Corduroy Restaruant this evening at 7:30. I can't wait to hear people's impressions from this exclusive first look into the new space. In peaking in the windows last weekend, the new millwork and lighting looks great -- this place is gonna wow us, I have a feeling. I also love the new gas lantern recently installed outside.
