Now that we've given thanks and taken some time off, it's time to get ready for a busy month. Please email me at slumhistorique at yahoo dot com with any holiday events I should post about on this blog. I would also love to receive pictures of beautiful holiday decorations around the neighborhood that I can share with all.
In addition to holiday-oriented business, several important meetings are going to take place affecting critical neighborhood issues and projects. Tonight (November 26) from 6-8 pm, for example, is the Preliminary Design 1 Community Meeting for the new Watha T. Daniel/Shaw Neighborhood Library. Attend tonight's meeting, to be held at the interim library, to provide input on the new library. If you are not able to attend the meeting, please take this online survey to share your ideas.
Kevin Chapple always has a pretty complete and current rundown of important neighborhood-oriented meetings here.
