Buy Me: P Street Row Home

Check out this ad on Craigslist for the following 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home offered at $499,000:

Cute! More pictures and details are available at the Craigslist ad.

This place has tons of curb appeal--I love the colors of the facade, and I'm a sucker for a red door. The pictures of the interior show a beautiful renovation inside as well.

NOTE: I post this listing (like all of my Craigslist postings) without any knowledge about its author or the subject property. Please proceed with caution and at your own risk.

I wish they had used a quad-pane moulions in the windows instead of the colonial eight-pane.

i went to the open house this weekend -- it's got a great little koi pond in back.

i still think it's a little bit overpriced-- as I remember, there's no master bath and tiny closets-- but it's been gorgeously redone--and compared to the hilariously overpriced places I also saw on the unit block of P and on Rhode Island Ave, this house is great. i

Want to talk about hilariously overpriced? Check out a couple of the places for sale on the unit block of NY Ave NW (odd number side). Two of the houses on the block are going for $750,000. They both look like they've been really nicely renovated, but three quarters of a million for this neighborhood? (and I live around here and I'm saying that!) Yikes!

Overpriced? That seems pretty reasonable for something that's gorgeously re-done in the area... I'll have to check it out. Shells that size in that part of Shaw/LeDroit/Bloomingdale have been going for $400-$450k consistently. $499k for a really nice renovation sounds pretty close to market price. I guess we'll see how quickly it's snatched up.
