I've yet to experience Etete, but the rave reviews place it, also, on my "must try in Shaw" list.

Not on this topic, but I noticed some signage next to the Whitman at 9th & M that seemed to indicate another building will be built between it and Breakwells? Does anyone know about this?? Maybe I misunderstood........ :)
I am guessing you're talking about the Walnut Street Development proposals for Blagden Alley (which is basically street) or 1212 9th Street, in which case check out my "Real Estate Development in Shaw" link on the side bar for report. . .
Awesome, thanks for any info!! The sign is actually on the opposite side of M street from the Walnut Street project (which I am very excited about).....
Great, thanks for the info! Also, check out DCMud today (dcrealestate.com) -- United Methodist Church at 9th and Mass. will break ground later this year on an office tower and retail development -- this area near the new convention center hotel will be absolutely bursting with excitement, bringing more people to 9th street........

I believe the sign to which you refer (reading "Hypo Real Estate"?) relates to the financing company responsible for The Whitman.
Assuming we're talking about the same sign, good spot! I'd never noticed it.
Thanks to Drew Porterfield for checking out the signage at 9th and M.

I went to Etete the other day, it was really good!
