I tend to agree with ML that a bank is not the highest on the retail list but if the other choice is to have an extended vacancy, then a bank it is.

note...banks are not always dark on weekends. the TD Bank on 7th Street in my area is open both Saturdays and Sundays (I don't bank there).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37539477.post-23768141979197827902009-01-24T11:27:00.000-05:002009-01-24T11:27:00.000-05:00Uggghhh. Not a bank!

What a waste of a great neighborhood space that could of helped to make Shaw more of a destination with a good restaurant.

A bank would be dark at night and on the weekends, and I'm guessing would do little to increase foot traffic on 9th street. The only upside is that the office space would bring in more workers and more demand for services during the day.

Why can't we somehow incentivise Colorado Kitchen, Cafe Deluxe, Vinoteca, or other intersting restranteers in the city to fill that space that obviously should be a restaurant??!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37539477.post-84054304637795872522009-01-23T15:55:00.000-05:002009-01-23T15:55:00.000-05:00Word on the street, literally, is that a small ban...Word on the street, literally, is that a small bank is looking to move into the bottom floor of The Exchange. They would be using all of the commercial space for their bank and headquarters offices. I was hoping for a restaurant or cafe on the corner and some other smaller retail but given Douglas Development's outrageous pricing... I guess that'll never happen.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10653847042719080457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37539477.post-76199776788523899382009-01-23T09:44:00.000-05:002009-01-23T09:44:00.000-05:00Thanks for the links!
