More O Street Market Renderings

Check out this posting by Kevin Chapple, which uploads Roadside Development's most recent renderings of the O Street Market redevelopment, as presented at the September 20 Walter E Washington Convention Center Advisory Board Meeting and at the Shaw Main Streets Developers' Forum. It seems the development will be known as "City Market at O Street."

I can't wait for this project to break ground. Here's to a relatively painless PUD process (there's a hearing on October 15 about this project) and to all of the funding and tax incentives falling into place as easily as possible!

Agreed...we've been waiting way too long for this...is there anything Shaw residents can do to support this process and have it move forward as quickly as possible?

I think shaw rez and others have reported that things are progressing smoothly and quickly (considering) this go-round. We should let it be known to Jack Evans, the council generally and the mayor that we strongly support TIF financing approval for the project.

hear hear! the faster they can raze kelsey gardens and the old giant and get both of those projects under construction, the better. the neighborhood needs the swift kick that all this change for the better would bring.

Did anyone happen to attend the ANC 2C03 meeting last Wednesday? Doris told me the developers of the CVS building development at 7th & H street presented at that meeting. Any details would be appreciated.

PQ Living has renderings of it.

Not that the Giant is a great grocery store, but it is convenient. What will people in the neighborhood be doing for a grocery store while the new one is being built?

Lauren--

The new 'urban lifestyle' Safeway should be opened at City Vista (5th & K) in the Spring of 2008. And then there is always Whole Foods at 15th &P.
